Deviance is usually thought of as behavior that is illegal (ie. robbery, murder, speeding, etc.). While this may be true in certain cases, deviance is actually defined as any behavior that goes against social norms and expectations. Something as simple as not washing your hands after using the restroom or sitting down in an elevator could be considered deviant in its own right. In both instances, one is expected to act in a certain fashion and by choosing not to, that person is acting as a social deviant.
